There will be no other angry young man like Amitabh Bachchan, and to celebrate his glorious years in the film industry, here's a look at a few finest roles he has ever played.

Vijay Verma in Deewar - This film that released in 1975 showcased the true potential of Amitabh Bachchan as an actor. From his dialogue delivery to expressions, he was the perfect fit to play the role. Even today, his dialogue "Mera pass bungalow hai, gaadi hai, bankbalance hai, tumhare pass kya hai" is cherished and imitated by all.

Inspector Vijay Khanna in Zanjeer was the best of Amitabh Bachchan we have ever seen. It is this film that gave him the title of Angry Young Man of Bollywood, thanks to the strong aura that he splashed on screen.

Amitabh Bachchan essayed dual role in 1978 released DON and nobody can match the spark and charm he showcased as gangster Don and his duplicate Vijay. The film was remade with Shah Rukh Khan stepping in the shoes of Amitabh Bachchan, but the original will always be the favourite.

Agneepath, Agneepath, Agneepath - recall this word in Amitabh Bachchan's deep and rich baritone and we bet, you'll be transported to one of the best times of Indian Cinema. Yes, the original Vijay Deenanath Chauhan from 1990 release Agneepath is a LEGEND.

While Amitabh Bachchan personified the tag of 'Angry Young Man' in his films, he was just as perfect as a romantic hero in films like Kabhie Kabhie. He could emote every emotion beautiful; no wonder he could rule our hearts for decades on decades.

Coming to his films from 2000s, nobody could have played the role of Debraj Sahai better than Amitabh Bachchan in Black. He essayed the role of a stubborn teacher to a blind and deaf girl, while later, she suffers from Alzheimer's.

One of the best courtroom dramas that we witnessed in recent times is PINK and it had Amitabh Bachchan delivering a powerful performance like always. Amitabh Bachchan as lawyer Deepak Sehgal created quite a stir with his great performance.

Well, this place is indeed very small to sum up the list of iconic characters played by Amitabh Bachchan. He was, is and always be THE BEST of Bollywood. Happiest Birthday Big B.
